I grew up during the space race started by the USSR and eventually trumped by the scientists and engineers in NASA. I wanted to be part of it. I received a scholarship from the Franklin Institute and went to Rutgers University. I studied Physics and Mathematics and worked at the Nuclear Physics Lab there. I had a family by the time I graduated from College and started a career with IBM. My career focused upon database and very large-scale computer system architectures with a foray into artificial intelligence and natural language processing. I was doing work for NASA at Canaveral when the Challenger blew up. After that, I consulted and delivered large-scale Enterprise System Architectures for IBM, General Motors, NASDAQ, Kaiser Permanente and others. I retired from a very successful professional career in information technology in 2007 and began a new life at sea, creating boutique software solutions and writing books. Now I am developing as a travel video producer. Information Technology Career
